Yesterday was such a beautiful day here in Seattle!! Even though we have been living here for 2 months now, we haven't done much exploring...so I decided I was going to plan a day trip of park hopping for us!
I went to Barnes and Noble and purchased The Dog Lovers Guide to the Pacific Northwest by Val Mallinson (what a GREAT book, by the way!!) to help find places that were safe and good for all of our family members, a.k.a. our fur-baby Channon. I narrowed down where we wanted to go and decided upon Gas Works Park, Alki Beach, and Kubota Garden.
We started our park hopping adventure at Gas Works Park and had a fun little picnic lunch and soaked up the sun. After relaxing for a bit, we decided it was time to walk around and take some photos and stretch our legs! After touring the park, we decided to head over to Alki Beach.
We were greeted at Alki Beach with amazing views, lots of people and their dogs, and tons of cars...a.k.a...NO Parking! We drove all the way down the beach and had just about given up hope of finding a place to park when we found a great little residental street with an empty space. We took it! We loaded up the stuff we would need for the next hour or so and took off walking! Lukily, I was able to take some fun and great photos while we were out and about in Alki before we needed to call it a day...we were all hot, tired, and ready for a nap! :)
So, we didn't make it to Kubota Garden yesterday; however, I'm not sad! It will be a great place to start our next park hopping adventure on the next beautiful day here in Seattle!
Scroll down and enjoy some of the photos I took while out on our adventure! :)
Until next time,
Sam, Ryan, and Channon
